They came into being between 1940 and1945.

The fact may sound funny but it is true that the computers of the mid 20th century were as large as a room. Naturally they consumed as much power as consumed by hundreds of modern PCs or personal computers. Modern computers are mainly based on integrated circuits and they are powdered by small batteries.

Gone are the days when the use of computers was limited to businesses and corporate houses. These days’ computers are also used for various purposes including study, entertainment, research, media and many more.
